They were FANTASTIC (on time and professional), explaining what they do and including all of us in a safe and hilarious manner. After we snacked, we were ushered into the cozy stage area for our private, custom improv show. The CSz team was amazing and even incorporated some of our company's inside jokes into the routine. They were super respectful of those of us who preferred to sit back and enjoy quietly, but played up the more boisterous team members to really make the most of our experience. "I worked with ComedySportz to do a corporate event. The group that attended was approximately 20 software engineers and/or managers, with most of those being international. The event was a 1 hour show with 2 performers, and a 1 hour workshop. My team had a wonderful time doing this corporate retreat.
The first half was a show, which was an improv show with 2 performers: if you've seen live improv, you'll know what to expect. Here the performers did a great job of keeping their energy up and focusing on humor that was well suited to a corporate audience. The second half was a workshop, where the team participated in low stakes, low pressure exercises that allowed them to reflect on behaviors that will make them more successful at work. During this part, even the most shy members of the team felt comfortable to participate and everyone is encouraged to interact with people they don't normally talk to.
I particularly appreciate I flexible Dave Bogan was with scheduling, planning and other details. For instance, Dave was able to help me plan an event that worked well within our budget and suggested a plan of activity that he thought would work given my team. Even small details (allowing us to bring food, letting us go to their space, us running a bit late, etc.) were managed extremely well by Dave and his team, and made the event all that more special.
All in all, working with ComedySportz was a fantastic decision for my team. The teammates liked this new and different activity, and I think it brought the team a bit closer together. I would recommend this for anyone seeking a corporate event.

"Our engineering team has been working remotely for the past few weeks so we wanted to find a team building activity that would be fun for everyone, even though we are all in our own homes. Once I reached out about organizing an event, Dave followed up immediately to learn more about our team and what we were looking for. He made it very easy to organize the event. Dave and Alex both facilitated the workshop for the 10 of us, leading us through a number of games and activities. Everyone on our team had a lot of fun - a couple people mentioned that they were apprehensive about improv but ended up loving it. It was a unique experience that helped us get to know each other better while working on team work and communication skills.
